Milbarn Construction are able to undertake all aspects of carpentry and joinery work. We are specialists in this field, the more complex the design, the better. We were instructed to remove an existing kitchen roof and replace incorporating a Solid Oak Lantern in Brentwood, Essex, although this wasn’t complex task, it required precsion making sure the lantern was sited exactly in the centre of the kitchen, and it was an enjoyable project, that took about a week to complete. Having dug out a trench 250 meters so a new water feed could be ran off of the existing water main, one of our qualified plumbers cut into the existing water main and joined it to our new pipework. The existing water main was of plastic construction (called alkathene) and was 40mm in diameter. Because of the rarity of the plastic pipe, and the unusual size, we had to cut out an section from the existing pipe about 500mm long. We then used 42mm copper pipe with plastic slip couplings to join the copper pipe to the existing. We braized a brass T section between the middle of the copper.

Milbarn Construction have been recently completed the installation of a new water main at Grange Waters in Essex for Thurrock Council. A trench had to be dug approximately 250meters in length between the depth of 750mm and 1350mm so the new water main could be laid. The water main has to be laid within these depths so that it will not freeze during the cold spells, We averaged our depth at 1100mm.
